Honoring My Grandmother Rose: The Story Behind Cashmere Rose

Some candles are inspired by places, moments, or seasons of life. Cashmere Rose was inspired by a woman—my grandmother, Rose—whose strength, elegance, and resilience shaped generations.

Born in Italy in the very early 1900s Rose lived through some of history’s most transformative and difficult decades. She experienced heartbreak, loss, and the courage it took to immigrate to America at a time when Italians were often judged and underestimated. She witnessed the Roaring Twenties, wars, and an ever-changing world—yet she never lost her grace.

She lived to be 100 years old, and even now, I feel her strength living on in me. Her story reminds me that softness and strength can exist together—that elegance doesn’t mean fragility, and resilience doesn’t have to be loud.
