The Rhythm Before the Pour

Before the wax melts…
Before the scent fills the air…
There’s a quiet rhythm that happens first.
Prepping wicks is one of my favorite parts of candle making. It’s repetitive, grounding, and sets the tone for everything that follows. This is the moment where I check in with myself — how I’m feeling, what energy I’m carrying, and what kind of flow the day is going to take.

Some days in the studio I’m very “by the book.”
Efficient. Focused. Professional.
Other days are slower. More creative. Those are the days I tinker with ideas, let inspiration guide me, and allow space for something unexpected to come through.
My studio sits outside in my backyard, surrounded by nature, and once I step into that space… anything can happen. That’s the magic of working with your hands and creating from the heart — no two days, and no two pours, are ever the same.
Every candle begins long before it’s lit.
It starts with presence, intention, and honoring the rhythm of the moment.
✨ Thank you for being part of this journey and supporting slow, soulful creation
