Rooted Beginnings: Stepping Into a Slower, More Intentional Year

As this year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting with a full heart.

This year held so much — growth, change, lessons, grief, gratitude, and the quiet reminders of what truly matters. I’m endlessly thankful for every person who supported Hippie’s Homemade Candles this year, whether through an order, a kind word at a market, or simply following along and cheering me on.

As I step into a new year, and a new decade, I feel a gentle shift happening.

I’m being called toward a slower, more intentional rhythm. More presence at home. More creating during intentional mornings. More grounding and sustainability, in life and in business.

Hippie’s Homemade Candles has always been rooted in story, memory, and meaning. That isn’t changing. What is changing is how I show up. I’m intentionally moving toward growing my online shop, sharing more through thoughtful content, and choosing work that supports my family life rather than pulling me away from it.

This next chapter isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what matters, with care.
