Ahh Book Store! This candle is one of my favorites. It has such a sweet memory for me and everytime I make this candle it brings me back to this place in time when things were "normal" and book sniffing was a thing I could do without worry or shame LOL.
Picture this: I'm in Paris, walking down the cobble stone streets, happily roaming around and taking in all the sites and smells. All of a sudden it starts to pour and I'm regretting my decision to not pack an umbrella and to just "pack light" for this trip. I see a store with its door still open so I dodge into it and it's dark and quiet with a rich musky smell of paper and leather. It's a tiny little used book store, filled with books, stacked ontop of each other in unorganized stacks all around the place. It's dark and dingy, with soft french music in the background. I find myself softly touching the books as I move by them, completely enchanted by this little wonderland I have stumbled into. I can't help but to wonder if the universe meant to push me into this store by sending that rain shower my way. It was heaven for my ever sensitive senses. I pick one up, open its pages, shamelessly bring it to my nose and inhale its sweet smell. I instantly wonder who owned this book. Where had it been, was it in a box in someones attic for years, or was it a prized possesion on someones book shelf? this little chance encounter ended up being something I will never forget and I'm happy to say that I captured it well in this candle for you.
